About the Disappearance
Circumstances of the disappearance
He was last seen at his home in the morning. He then left in his Isuzu car to cross over to east Beirut, on his way to his beach cottage in Byblos. The car was used a few years later in a car bomb. 19 people disappeared on that date, and probably all at the same checkpoint. These disappearances were in retaliation for a car bomb that exploded the same morning at Karakol Druze in Beirut, killing 23 people and wounding 60 people.
