"Ahmad was living in Nabaa when the Tall el Zaatar incident began. By that point, everyone who was living in Nabaa had escaped to another area out of fear of staying, and Ahmad and his family were the only ones left. They wanted to go to Tyre, but Ahmad and his brother Hamad were afraid of leaving because they lacked a Lebanese ID card, and they feared that they would be stopped at a checkpoint because they were Palestinian. Therefore, they decided to stay in Nabaa. Ahmad’s wife and son, however, fled with the rest of the family members to Tyre. Ahmad stayed behind with his brother. They haven’t been heard from ever since. A while later, one of the family’s neighbors told them that Ahmad and his brother had been detained at the Armenian Club along with around 100 other people. She claimed that she had seen Ahmad there with his brother and the rest of the detainees. She said that they had been sitting handcuffed on the floor of the club and that after a few minutes two trucks came and picked all of them up to take them to an unknown location.
