Lebanese Checkpoint

Multiple checkpoints were established throughout the rest of the war. These checkpoints were mainly at the beginning of the street, a few hundred meters after Burj el Mur, next to the central bank of Beirut and next to Hagazian University a few hundred meters further than the bank. Dozens of people were kidnapped and detained at these checkpoints, most notably the 3 central bank executives and directors whom were kidnapped on August 19th, 1985, never to be seen again.
