After the Israeli invasion in 1982 and the occupation of Sidon, Ahmad escaped from the Fourn al-­Arabi area of Sidon with his friends on June 22nd. Ahmad was last seen when they were across from the police station and heading towards the orchard. He was martyred there because an old injury rendered him incapable of climbing the walls of the orchard. Some of his friends returned and several of them disappeared just as Ahmad did.
